About

I've been working with computers for over two decades: almost two decades professionally, and about 25 years if you count the childhood hobby that started it all. From the day I was introduced to a computer, I've wanted to build things with it. I'm a builder at heart.

I've spent most of that time building at large companies, so not much of my work has been open source. That proprietary work continues behind the scenes; right now I'm working on HBM and GPUs to make systems more efficient. Along the way I've done back-end, front-end and web development, operating system development, machine learning modeling and ML infrastructure.

The beauty of this field has been the constant learning, the massive opportunity, and the amazingly smart people I've learned a ton from, and still do. The new AI tools let me build and show things much faster, using what I know. This revolution is awesome, and it gives me the flexibility to contribute some of what I've learned back to the field.

I live in the Bay Area with my family, and I'm teaching my kid the tips and tricks of using computers and working with AI. Hopefully there'll be many more passion projects that I get to open source along the way.
